Ohm Tattoo Symbolism

Ohm Symbolism

Totality, Sustaining, Perpetuation, Oneness, Sacred Trinity, Sacred, Divine Expression, Indestructible word (truth), Creation, Evolution, Manifestation

The om symbol (a.k.a.: ohm, aum, omkar) is one such symbol

The OM symbolizes the advent & culmination of triangular principles like: dawn, afternoon, dusk, creation, sustaining, destruction, conscious, unconscious, subconscious

The om is used most commonly in Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism.

The mantra "OM" is the name of God, vibration of the Supreme.

When broken down letter by letter, A-U-M represents the divine energy (Shakti) united in its three elementary aspects: Bhrahma Shakti (creation), Vishnu Shakti (preservation) and Shiva Shakti (liberation, and/or destruction)

Sanskrit letters or symbol for the "sacred" Hindu sound om (ohm or aum) called "the mother of all mantras. Apparently, the four parts symbolize four stages of consciousness: Awake, sleeping, dreaming, and a trance or transcendental state.

The om tattoo symbolism conveys a reverence for life, an honor for creation and an understanding of the divine motion of the Universe.
